deutsches Sprichwort
Warum?
A rumor going around in the blogosphere, the rumor that we move. That’s right. We – the as loveable as wise Bookfayries Siri and Selma – move with our Master to Dina’s blog „The World According to Dina“ in January. Why? You can read about our reasons in the post On Blogging. And may we ask a favour of all our followers, please: If you are not followers of Dinas blog already, would you, please, be so kind to sign in at Dina`s Blog „The World According to Dina“ that you don`t miss out on Siri`s and Selma`s wisdom and un-wisdom 😉 Yeah, that us 🙂 🙂
Tja, da ziehen wir bei „The World According to Dina“ ein.
Well, we move in at „The World According to Dina „. Oh dear, we have quite some problems with the name. It`s not really fair, because we, yes WE, the loveable as clever Bookfayries will write about our Master`s and Dina`s world with the unbearable lightness of being a fairy. At first we were very upset that we, the world-famous Bookfayries Siri and Selma, are not mentioned in the title. „Full goofy“, we protested fluttering excited, “ that’s our view , we present!“ „No, no ,“ replied our clever Master and Dina , “ it’s also Dina’s view of the world as an photographer.“
That the adults must always prevail …
We would like to thank all of you who have made a suggestion for a name of our new blog, especially the Rambling Brother, Emil, Stefano (we loved been called „The Fabulous Four“, thank you), Paula and Walter, but you see how authoritarian Dina is … the world according to Dina, indeed! 😉 (you can imagine what we have to suffer sometimes , but fortunately there are two of us 🙂 🙂 )
Masterchen plays cowardly gentleman. He mutters “ Ladies first “ – doesn`t he know that we are also ladies? – Bokkfayrie-ladies (never forget!).
Interesting is not so much where we are, but where we are going to
Selma
With this move – we hate removals (thank you, dear Irgendlink, that you offered us help as the WordPress specialist you are) – nothing much will change for you, dear reader. The content of both blogs remains the same and together with Dina we will show our world in pictures and text beyond the mainstream. Our crazy Master sees our new blog like an illuminated manuscript: We are looking for the ideal combination of text and word.
Well, our dear Master must always comply with his demands, that’s just his quirk that plagues Dina too, only better hidden – but we will not tell more, otherwise there will be cuts of our pocket money or one Christmas pressent less 😦
Was wird sich ändern?
Unser Buchfeenblog „The World According to Siri und Selma“ bleibt bestehen. Ihr trefft uns vom neuen Jahr an auf Dinas Blog „The World According to Dina“.
What will change?
Our Bookfayrie-Blog „The World According to Siri and Selma“ will remain. But apart from a Christmas post we will stop publishing there. You will meet us on Dinas blog „The World According to Dina“ from January onwards. Read you there 😉 We heard the whisper, that was a hostile takeover. No, not at all, it was kind one 😉
Phew, we discussed quite some time about the content. In the end we agreed: We look at Dina`s and Master`s world from our point of view, and I, the practical Selma, will help Dina taking pictures and thinking about the design, and I, the well read Siri, will be Master`s muse – yes! But we both like writing together as well. Most of our posts will have something to do with the North, that`s why first we wanted to call our new blog „Northern Mindscpapes“. We love the North and we will celebrate the beauty of the North in texts and pictures. And remember, the camera is operated by Dina, a Norwegian photographer.
The comments of our post On Blogging made us aware that we operate the new blog a little bit like an interactive magazine. It was our Master´s point that he we sometimes are allowed to write about books which don`t have any connection to the North but we think they are worth reading. We also want to try publishing lengthy articles together with our Master, in two or more parts. In „The view of the North“ we did that successfully on our blog here with the posts „Ultima Thule„, „The North in the literature,“The Hell „, „Heroes „and“ The Hollow Earth „. We plan for the new blog posts in two parts about the landscape and about Jan Mayen. Of course, we know that this is actually a don`t-do in the net, but we do not need to follow such opinions, taught us our dear Master.
As Pia already commented, our Master`s strength is commenting. Behind closed doors, we call him „the great commentator“. He promised to continue commenting with his Gravatar. But anyway, we find the exchange with all of you Great! Do you know that you are actually our muses? Many thanks for helping us especilly with your comments on „On Blogging„.
Jetzt wisst ihr alles 😉
Now you know everything 😉
Liebe Grüße
Love
